L.A. Noire Review

L.A. Noire

Cinematic adventure at its finest.

“A city on the verge of greatness, a new type of city” - L.A. Noire’s opening words and more importantly, a statement that will resonate on a second play through. From the onset, L.A. Noire deftly blends its narrative, dialogue and mechanics into a seamless interactive cinematic experience. Every word and action in this game contributes to a sensual yet sinister mood, set perfectly even from as early on as the opening sequence.

L.A. Noire Promises 25-30 hours of Detective work

LA Noire Logo

Rockstar's L.A. Noire had it's campaign clocked from start to finish and the total play time was 25-30 hours.  This figure came from direct from a Rockstar employee. He later explained the the core cases last about 23 hours. They set the total play time to 25-30 because of the side cases that you can take. They assume  the average player will stray from the main story for a few hours at least.

L.A. Noire is set to release May 17 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out a trailer here and get hyped.

New Take-Two Domains May Tie Into GTA V

Take 2 Logo With the looming leviathan known as Grand Theft Auto V somewhere in our distant future, Take-Two has begun to spin the web of rumors and excitement. With the recent registration of various domain names it appears as if Take-Two is repeating their viral campaign from Grand Theft Auto IV.

Registered domains include:

  • CashForDeadDreams.com
  • SixFigureTemps.com
  • StopPayingYourMortgage.net
  • HammersteinFaust.com
  • LifeInvader.com

Granted, it may not seem like much, but anything to curb our appetites for sandbox glory is a good thing. The only possible connection between all of these domains is money. Maybe the next Grand Theft Auto will feature an area destroyed by the recent drop in the economy? Only time will tell. Meanwhile, post your ideas and speculation below.
